Tasting Notes
Starting with Pinot Noir characteristics and finishing on the typical spiciness of a shiraz this unique blend combines red and dark fruit flavours with a touch of Christmas spice.
Vineyard Notes
We selected the best clones from our Oakwood Shiraz block and our Greenleaf Pinot Noir vineyards to show pure fruit characteristics. The French shiraz clone 470 runs on a northerly aspect 380-425 metre altitude, while our 114 and 115 clones of Pinot Noir are on an easterly slope at 400-425 metres altitude.
Winemaker Notes
Our shotgun has been carefully blended to create a fresh and playful wine. The blend consists of 60% Shiraz and 40% Pinot Noir, both from our 2019 vintage. The barrel selection has been made to reflect fruitful quality with no new oak.
